The hem
Cut, not stitched. It is finished at the factory so it frays evenly instead of spiralling up the leg, and it keeps fraying a little every wash. That is the point, not a defect.

Why not just cut my own sweats?
You can, and most of us have. The difference is what happens after four weeks. A kitchen cut spirals up the leg, the fleece pills, and the waistband goes dead.
These are cut at the factory so the fray is even, built in fleece dense enough to hold its shape through a season, and washed after the garment is made so they already look broken in. A pair of sweatpants you would cut up costs about the same as these.

What size should I get?
Classic comes in Youth L and XS through XL. Cherry Blossom comes in S through XL. Both fit true to size. The leg is cut wide and relaxed on purpose and the hem falls to the shin.
If you are between sizes, size down. The fleece relaxes after the first wash. Full measurements are on the size guide.
What is the fabric, and how do I wash them?
Brushed cotton fleece, mineral washed after the garment is built. That last step is the expensive one and it is why they do not look brand new on day one.
Wash before first wear. Cold wash, hang dry. The wash keeps fading with wear, which is the intent.
Will the raw hem keep fraying?
On the Classic, yes. It is cut rather than stitched, so it frays a little more each wash and then settles into a stable edge. It is not going to unravel up the leg.
If you want a clean edge instead, the Cherry Blossom pair is the one to pick.
