Heavyweight fleece cutoffs, mineral washed black, cut raw at the knee.

Front. IRONTHREADS 日本 on the left thigh. 鉄の意志 down the right leg, which reads "iron will." Red seal stamp under it.

Back. Rising sun over Fuji, cherry blossom, and a breaking wave. One patch pocket.

The hem is cut, not stitched. It frays a little more every wash. That is the point.

• Fit: Relaxed. Sits just above the knee. True to size.
• Fabric: Heavyweight brushed cotton fleece, mineral wash.
• Waist: Elastic with a drawcord. Two side pockets, one back patch pocket.
• Care: Cold wash, hang dry. The wash keeps fading with wear.
