Greece Red Wrestling Singlet

Wrestling was in the ancient Olympics by 708 BC. Greece was doing this before anyone kept score, and 2025 gave them a new name to put next to all that history.

Greece at the 2025 Worlds

• Georgios Kougioumtsidis won gold at 79 kg freestyle in Zagreb. He beat Iran's Mohammad Nokhodi 8-3 in the semis, then Levi Haines of the USA 3-2 in the final.
• Maria Prevolaraki came in as the 2025 European champ at 53 kg. Four-time Olympian, three world bronzes. She placed 8th in Zagreb.
